It was the first time the Democrats weren't in the majority since 1921-23. As the time of his election, Lucas was in his third term as a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Lucas is a fifth-generation Oklahoman who operates a cattle ranch in western Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1982. He and his wife, Lynda, have three children: Jessica, Ashlea, and Grant. |
