Oklahoma's Notable Government Documents

Each year, the American Library Association’s Government Documents Roundtable and a committee from the Journal of Government Information * selects outstanding local, national and international government publications for special recognition as Notable Documents.

Documents are selected that contribute to knowledge, quality of life, and an understanding of government. The selected documents are featured annually in May in Library Journal and in December in The Journal of Government Information.

The mission of the program is to publicize the diversity of information that can be found in government publications.

The Oklahoma Publications Clearinghouse nominates Oklahoma state documents and publications for these recognition awards. Agencies receive a Governor’s Commendation in recognition of their outstanding publications.
