Two educational series are now available to Oklahomans thanks to a collaboration of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, Oklahoma Literacy Resource Office, Oklahoma Educational Television Authority, Cox Communications, Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Board, and Tyler Outdoor Advertising. A variety of viewing formats including public television, cable, streaming video, and dvd copies make the programs easily accessible to individuals wishing to improve their literacy skills or study for the GED exam. TV411 is a 30-episode series created to help adults with basic skills. The programs use everyday life skills such as health, family, and jobs as the basis for lessons and learning opportunities. GED Connection is a series of 39 half-hour lessons that helps viewers study and practice all five subjects covered in the GED exam. For broadcast information or to view the programs on streaming video, visit www.getreadingoklahoma.org To contact staff of the Literacy Resource Office, use ODL's Staff Contact Form or Department Contact Form.
