ODL Board Meeting Set, Rule Change on Agenda

The ODL Board will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Friday, February 12, 2010. Interested parties can download and review a copy of the agenda and the ODL Director's Report. Among other items of business, the Board will consider a proposed amendment to its rules. The proposed amendment establishes a fee for the filing of public land survey corner records. Interested parties can download the rulemaking notice, the proposed rule amendment and the rule impact statement.

Spring Certification Classes Now Available for Registration

The Spring 2010 Institute in Public Librarianship classes are now available for registration. Registration can now be conducted online by visiting ODL's Certification Courses Registration page.

2010 "Threats to Your Collection" Grant
Applications Now Available

To help organizations address threats to historical documents, photographs, recordings, and other archival materials, the Oklahoma Historical Records Advisory Board, administered by the Department of Libraries, is now accepting applications for its “Threats to Your Collection” funding opportunity. Grants range from $500 to $10,000. Funding is made available through the National Historical Publications and Records Commission. To apply, download an application form, view a list of successful applicants from last year’s program and review a previously successful application. Applications are due by March 1, 2010.

Archives and Records Commission
to Consider Rule Changes

The Archives and Records Commission will consider a proposed amendment to its rules at a special meeting on February 22, 2010. The proposed amendment increases the monthly storage fee for state agency records stored at the State Records Center. Interested parties can download the rulemaking notice, the proposed rule amendment and the rule impact statement. The Commission will also consider proposed new rules to establish standards and practices for the implementation of the requirements of the newly adopted Oklahoma Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act (URPERA). Interested parties can download the rulemaking notice, the proposed rule amendment and the rule impact statement.
